Training
 
More than 3000 people participate each year in different professional and language trainings, provided and funded by Fraport Twin Star Airport Management PLC. Their purpose is the improvement of the knowledge, skills and competences of the company personnel, which will lead to the increase in the quality of service of the customers at the airports in Bourgas and Varna. In connection with the specially developed by the concessionaire “Personnel training and development programme”, large funds are invested to provide appropriate facilities (special training centres) and highly-qualified trainers, including training of company employees for internal instructors, certified to hold trainings.
The “Language College”, which first started work in 2007, continued its development intensively in 2008, too. The company also provides trainings with lecturers from the Fraport Academy. Trainings are also held for the workers and employees, who will work with the newly delivered by the concessionaire equipment for service of passengers and aviation vessels, and similar trainings are also funded for employees of partner institutions, working on the territory of the airports.
7 modern training centres have been built and equipped with the necessary technical aids and amenities at both airports, one of which specialises in trainings in Security. 2 more training centres are in the process of construction at Bourgas Airport.
For the past year alone the invested funds in personnel training (excluding the investments in facilities) amount approximately to half a million BGN. about 1 million BGN have been invested in employee qualification and development from the beginning of the concession to April this year.
 
HR Department Seminar
 
The traditional annual seminar of the HR Department was held on April 6th under the motto “Together we can do anything”. At the seminar were presented the results for 2008 and the new objectives and projects for 2009 were discussed. The new organisational structure of the Human Resources department was presented, which became effective in the beginning of this year.
